The healthcare provider, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, initiated a five-year expansion plan with the aim of establishing clinics within a 10-minute radius of 95 percent of Houstonians. The burgeoning population of Houston, particularly the elderly segment, fueled the demand for healthcare services. The need for expanded facilities was evident, with the population reaching 7.2 million, a 19 percent increase over the last decade.

The expansion plan presented a considerable construction challenge due to its scale and urgency. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic’s vision required efficient, reliable, and quality construction materials, making the choice of metal decking a critical aspect of the project.
Solution
CSM Metal Deck, a prominent player in the metal decking industry, was chosen to supply over 148,000 square feet of metal decking for the Kelsey Seybold in Katy, TX project. This included 18-gauge 2″ Composite Floor and 18-gauge 3″ N-Deck. The collaboration between CSM Metal Deck and the major Houston steel fabricator ensured the seamless integration of metal decking into the construction process.
