In support of large-scale industrial and healthcare manufacturing initiatives in Brazoria County, TX, Maxter Healthcare has launched an advanced glove production facility to meet growing global demand. CSM Metal Deck was proud to supply the structural floor and roof decking that supported the development of this expansive facility.
Background
Maxter Healthcare is a major producer of disposable gloves, including nitrile and latex varieties, for use in healthcare, dental, industrial, and foodservice environments. Their new facility in Rosharon, TX, was designed by GMA Architects and represents a significant investment in domestic manufacturing capacity. The facility is being developed in phases, with an initial production goal of 400 million gloves per month, and is expected to scale to 1.6 billion gloves per month once fully operational.
Challenge
The scale and output expectations of Maxter’s glove manufacturing facility required a structural design that could accommodate wide spans and support the significant demands of heavy equipment and operations. The project required durable, high-gauge decking materials that could span large open areas while maintaining structural integrity at both the roof and floor levels.
Solution

To meet the demanding structural needs of the Maxter Healthcare facility, CSM Metal Deck supplied over 400,000 square feet of high-gauge galvanized metal decking. For the roof, CSM provided 323,500 square feet of galvanized 16-gauge N-Deck with a white bottom finish. For the floors, the company supplied 80,300 square feet of galvanized 16-gauge 2″ and 3″ composite deck. These heavy-duty materials were selected for their strength and ability to support the long spans required by the building’s open floor plan and the loads from industrial equipment.
The use of heavy-gauge deck allowed the project team to minimize the number of steel supports needed at both the floor and roof levels, streamlining the structure and reducing overall material and labor costs. Additionally, the white bottom finish on the roof deck helped improve interior reflectivity and lighting efficiency—an added benefit for a large-scale manufacturing facility. CSM Metal Deck’s expertise and reliable supply chain ensured that all decking was delivered according to schedule, helping the project stay on track during critical construction phases.
Project Execution

Designed by GMA Architects, the Maxter Healthcare facility was engineered to support a highly automated manufacturing process with strict operational requirements.

CSM Metal Deck worked closely with project stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials, which helped maintain the project’s construction schedule.
Results

By supplying high-strength metal decking with long-span capabilities, CSM Metal Deck contributed to the successful construction of one of the most advanced glove manufacturing facilities in the country. The collaboration enabled a smooth integration of decking into the building’s structural framework, helping Maxter Healthcare stay on track with its ambitious production goals.
CSM Metal Deck is proud to be part of this significant industrial project, further strengthening our role as a trusted supplier for complex healthcare and manufacturing facilities across Texas and beyond.
